RULES OF THE CLUBHOUSE
Dress
Code
On Course (at all
times)
Collared shirts top (rolled and mock polo neck acceptable), Shirts inside trousers, Tailored trousers, or Tailored shorts with socks (no football shorts), No football colours, No denim, No trousers tucked inside socks.
Large Lounge (at
all times)
For functions, as advertised. At other times, Smart/Casual, the Large Lounge is not a ‘dirty bar’. Smart, Clean and Tidy, no golf shoes, trainers, denim, or waterproofs, no hats, no open toed sandals, no ‘working clothes’. No overcoats, or over jackets, to be worn in the Lounge.
Member’s Lounge
(at all times, except as below)
As for Large Lounge but Collared Jacket to be worn. No leather or zip fronted jackets or over jackets. Jackets may be removed while dinning in the dining area.
Members Lounge
after 7:30 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Dressed. (Jacket, Collar and
Tie).
Ladies
All lounges,
smart at all times, no denims, no trainers, no golf shoes or waterproofs, no
track suit bottoms etc, etc. Generally comply with the spirit of the Gents Dress
Code.
General Dress
Definitions :
Dressed – Tailored long trousers, (no jean type trousers), outdoor shoes, shirt with collar and tie, jacket with collar. No zip fronted jackets, no leather jackets, shirts to be worn inside trousers.
Smart/Casual – Collared top
(rolled polo neck acceptable), smart tailored trousers or tailored shorts with
long socks, outdoor shoes, (no trainers, golf shoes, sandals or climbing/work
boots).
Formal
– Dinner Suit with bow tie
or highland dress.
Notes :
1 Children should
be dressed in the spirit of the dress code.
2 No dress code is applied to private functions.
3 When the Large Lounge is not in use the Dress Code for the Member’s Lounge is relaxed to that of the Large Lounge.
4 Anyone who is considered inappropriately dressed will not be served, and will be asked to leave the lounge. The Steward/Chargehand’s decision is not to be challenged but may be raised with the Committee later.
Rules of the
Lounge and Clubhouse Area
1 The dress code
shall be complied with.
2 Behaviour of a
loud or raucous nature is not permitted. Nor is behaviour which would generally
be acknowledged as having the potential to cause offence to others, e.g. foul,
offensive or abusive language, drunkenness, arguing or
fighting.
3 Smoking is
permitted in the lounges but not in designated prohibited areas. Smokers are
requested to be considerate towards non smokers in their vicinity, especially
when food is being taken.
4 For safety
reasons smoking in the locker rooms is prohibited.
5 Entrance and
exit from the Lounges should be by the proper doorway, the fire exit is not to
be used other than in emergency or by special exception.
6 Persons using
the pool table shall pay due consideration to others in the area with regard to
noise, access, and room.
7 Junior Members
shall vacate the lounge by 8.00 pm during winter hours, and 9.00 pm during
summer hours (10.00 pm if aged 16-18) , unless accompanied by a parent,
attending an official club function, or by previous agreement of the
committee.
8 Children
(anyone under the age of 12) are welcome in the clubhouse, but should only be in
any of the lounges in the company of an Adult Member, and only whilst having a
meal, and should leave soon thereafter, but no later than 9.00 pm. Children
should not be left unattended, nor should they be free to wander within the
clubhouse. We would not want a child lost or injured.
9 In accordance
with Club Bye Laws, no Member shall subject any employee of the Club to a
personal reprimand. Any complaints should be addressed to the committee via the
Secretary.
10 Pedestrians
will be given precedence over vehicles on the driveway and in the car park.
Excessive speed or lack of care is unacceptable. Cars should be parked in marked
off bays. Only when all marked off parking bays are full should members park on
the driveway (on the clubhouse side of the road), or park in safe, clear,
alternative spaces which do not preclude access to/from their cars for other
Drivers.
11 Pre Allocated
parking spaces shall only be available to those persons to whom they are
allocated.
12 No changing of
clothes in the car park.
13 Mobile phones
are not to be used in the lounges, and should be ‘off’ on the course other than
in exceptional circumstances.
13 Acts of
vandalism, wilful damage, graffiti, defacing of official posters, or a total
disregard for the well-being and safety of others will be treated by the
committee as a serious offence.
The above rules are in
place to make the clubhouse a safe and enjoyable space for the majority of the
members. Breaches of the above rules could result in disciplinary action in
accordance with the Club Constitution.
